In both my professional and civic responsibilities, my success came from finding the common ground we shared and then ensuring the outcome reflected those principles.
My family has lived in Rivergrove for almost 25 years. It’s important to me that we have streets and parks that are safe for our children and grandchildren. I want to see the city work to encourage citizen involvement. I want to see our city leaders out in the city and meeting face-to-face with our neighbors, including at the monthly City Council meetings.
As a concerned citizen, I will ensure the Rivergrove City Council makes fiscally responsible decisions and uses a common-sense approach to running the city. If you share those goals for our city then I hope you will vote for Leah Silber, Joan Joyce, and David Dull.

For more than two decades, Rivergrove has been my home. I care deeply about our community and am running for City Council because I believe local government works best when it listens, communicates openly, and brings people together to solve problems.
I spent my 30 year career doing just that-bringing people together, listening, and tackling challenges. That collaborative approach guided me in my career as an educator, and in my volunteer service to our community. And it is the same approach I will bring to our City Council.
As President of the Project POOCH Board of Directors working with a $400k annual budget and through my service as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care, I’ve worked with people from many different backgrounds to find practical solutions and build consensus.
Rivergrove deserves thoughtful leadership that values transparency, respectful communication, and careful stewardship of public resources. I support decisions that are well researched, fiscally responsible, and made with meaningful public involvement. I also believe our City Council is strongest when members meet in person, while continuing to provide a virtual option for residents.
I’ve recently gotten to know David Dull and Leah Silber and have come to respect their commitment to Rivergrove. We share a common-sense, community-focused approach to city government and a commitment to fiscally responsible leadership.

I believe in a better Rivergrove.
With roughly 220 households, we're small enough that everyone who wants a voice should have one. Rivergrove can and should feel more like a community. We need a council that prioritizes harmony, competence and common ground.
I'm raising a young family here, and I'm the only councilor or candidate doing so. That shapes what I notice: playgrounds, sidewalks and safe routes to school, the traffic on Childs Road, and how walkable we are. We need safe and easy river access for all, and to get our sewer, flood and other infrastructure in order. These details are what a city our size is all about, and what I believe we must prioritize.
Good ideas need funding and partners. I've spent my term building relationships with Clackamas County, Metro, the League of Oregon Cities, and anyone else willing to pick up the phone for a city our size. Those relationships are how small cities get money, projects, and seats at the table when larger governments make decisions for us.
I also believe in spending carefully. I'm the only councilor who voted against pitching a new Rivergrove tax, and in May, Rivergrove rejected it decisively. Thank you! We should spend on what residents need, get competitive bids before hiring, start following budget law, and act on everything the recent audit found.
Most of all, I believe residents deserve to be heard. I've helped neighbors navigate issues big and small, and I'll help anyone who asks.
